Abstract:
To provide a separation device capable of stabilizing the ability to remove foreign matter.SOLUTION: A separation device includes: a material supply section for supplying a material containing a fiber; a defibrating section for defibrating the material supplied from the material supply section; a separation section including a rotating member which has a first surface and a second surface having a front and back relation, is at least partly formed of a mesh, and is supplied with a defibrated material produced in the defibrating section onto the first surface, a suction section which is provided on the second surface side of the rotating member and sucks the defibrated material through the mesh to remove foreign matter, and a collection section which collects the defibrated material from which the foreign matter on the first surface has been removed; a weight detection section for detecting a weight of the material supplied by the material supply section; and a control section for controlling the operation of the separation section on the basis of a detection result of the weight detection section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
