Title:
SEPARATION OF ETHYLENEAMINES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59175457
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: An alcohol is used to effect selective extraction of the titled compound from an aqueous solution containing ehyleneamines into the alcohol phase in the presence of ammonia.

CONSTITUTION: An alcohol of 3W6 carbon atoms is used to extract selectively ethyleneamines from an aqueous solution into the alcohol phase in the presence of ammonia of over 50g/l concentration.

EFFECT: The operation is carried out under relatively mild conditions, thus deterioration of ethyleneamines with heat is remarkably reduced. Ethyleneamines are separated and recovered without consumption of a large amount of heat and effective concentration of dilute ethyleneamine solution is possible.
