PURPOSE: To surely and selectively separate and recover an objective gas by bringing a gas mixture into contact with a solvent mixture containing water or OH- or an organic salt of a complex represented specific general formula.
CONSTITUTION: This objective gas is separated by bringing a gas mixture into contact with a solvent mixture containing water or OH-, or an organic salt of a complex LM {M is Ni, Co, Cu, Fe, Mn, Cr, V or Zn; L is a ligand represented by formula I [A, B, C, D are each an alkylene-chain, -(CH2)x- ((x) is an integer of 2-4); R1, R2, R3, R4 are each H, P1 (1-4C alkyl or the like) or the like]}, then, transferring the bulk thus obtained to an anode section of an electrochemical cell and oxidizing the complex to desorb the gaseous molecule near the anode. The complex LM is reduced at a cathode.
