Abstract:
To provide a separation material that exhibits a large amount of adsorption and excellent liquid permeability while suppressing nonspecific absorption of foreign protein, a column having the separation material, and a method for producing a separation material.SOLUTION: A separation material has a hydrophobic porous polymer particle, and a coating layer that coats at least part of the surface of the porous polymer particle. The coating layer contains a polymer having a hydroxy group. The porous polymer particle and the polymer having a hydroxy group are coupled together via a group obtained by the reaction between an active hydrogen group and a functional group that can react with the active hydrogen group.SELECTED DRAWING: None
