To provide a separation mechanism being inexpensive since the number of parts is less and small-sized and capable of further easily controlling a driving motor, and an under-water separation device including it.
The separation mechanism 1 includes: a hook 4 having one end part 4a rotatably pivotally supported on a hook support member 3 provided on one surface 2a side of a pedestal 2; a rotatable shaft 6 water-sealingly fitted to a hole part 5 penetrating through the pedestal 2; and the motor 8 fixed to the other surface 2b side of the pedestal 2 and having a rotation shaft 8a connected to the shaft 6. The shaft 6 has a hook fixing pin 7 projected in an axial A direction of the shaft 6 and moved around the axis A with rotation of the shaft 6 on a part of an edge end of one end part 6a, and the hook fixing pin 7 is arranged so as to be projected from one surface 2a side of the pedestal 2. The hook fixing pin 7 is engaged with the other end part 4b of the hook 4 at a predetermined position, the hook 4 is fixed, the hook fixing pin 7 is moved by rotation of the motor 8, and fixing of the hook 4 is released.
