Abstract:
An antifouling agent for separation membranes, said antifouling agent containing the component (A) and the component (B) described below. A method for preventing fouling of a separation membrane, wherein this antifouling agent for separation membranes is added into water to be processed by a separation membrane during water processing by means of the separation membrane. Component (A): A carboxylic acid-based polymer. Component (B): An aminophosphonic acid having 4 or more phosphoric acid groups and/or a salt thereof, preferably an aminophosphonic acid represented by formula (1) and/or a salt thereof. In the formula, R represents a phosphoric acid group; and n represents an integer of 1 or more.
