To provide the separation method of a liquid mixture efficiently separating a specific component in the liquid mixture using a separation membrane, and a liquid mixture separator.
In the separation method of the liquid mixture, a promoting component promoting permeation of the specific component in the liquid mixture through the separation membrane is added before separating the liquid mixture of mixed liquids by the separation membrane, then the liquid mixture is separated by the separation membrane. The liquid mixture separator 101 includes a promotion component adding part 22 adding the promoting component promoting the permeation of the specific component in the liquid mixture through the separation membrane, at the upstream of a separation part 23 having the separation membrane separating the liquid mixture by permeating the liquid mixture of mixed liquids to permeate the specific component in the liquid mixture.
