Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of quickly, easily, selectively, and efficiently recovering palladium and platinum from a solution containing palladium and platinum.SOLUTION: In a separation method of palladium and platinum, a solution containing at least palladium and platinum is brought into contact with an iminodiacetic acid type chelating resin to adsorb the palladium and platinum in the solution on the iminodiacetic acid type chelating resin, the iminodiacetic acid type chelating resin having adsorbed the palladium and platinum is brought into contact with a hydrochloric acid solution to separate the palladium from the iminodiacetic acid type chelating resin, and the iminodiacetic acid type chelating resin from which the palladium has been separated is brought into contact with a reducing agent, such as a hydrazine hydrochloride, to separate the platinum from the iminodiacetic acid type chelating resin.
