Abstract:

To achieve establishment of a method for efficiently separating Pt and Ru from raw material containing Pt and Ru, the establishment being urgently needed since the amount of generation of the raw material containing Pt and Ru is anticipated to increase.

The separation method for platinum and ruthenium comprises: an acidic fusing process in which the raw material containing the platinum and the ruthenium, is heated in the mixed acids of nitric acid and hydrochloric acid to obtain dissolved solution; a reducing process in which the ruthenium content dissolved in the dissolved solution, is precipitated by adding a reducing agent into the dissolved solution; and a solid-liquid separating process in which the solution after the reducing process, is solid-liquid-separated into the platinum-dissolved solution and the ruthenium-containing residue.
