Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation method which uses a zeolite membrane for suppressing deterioration of permeation flux accompanied by use, in separation processing of liquid containing phenol discharged from a manufacturing process of a phenol resin.SOLUTION: A method for continuing separation processing while restricting a concentration of phenol within a predetermined range, that is, performing separation processing such that the concentrated concentration of phenol in liquid after performing separation processing of liquid containing at least water and phenol by using a zeolite membrane falls into a range of 55 mol% or less in a membrane separation process for separating water from waste liquid containing water and phenol to concentrate phenol is provided. A separation process by means of a DDR type zeolite membrane as said zeolite membrane may be used in any of a feed and bleed type separation method, a batch type separation method or a circulation type separation method.SELECTED DRAWING: None
