Title:
SEPARATION OF MOLYBDENUM FROM ARSENIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59128215
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To separate easily molybdenum from arsenic by forming ferromolybdenum residue contg. arsenic from an aqueous soln. contg. arsenic and molybdenum by an iron coprecipitation method and by immersing the residue in an aqueous soln. of sodium hydroxide having a specified concn. at a specified temp. with stirring to leach molybdenum.

CONSTITUTION: Ferromolybdenum residue contg. arsenic is formed from an aqueous soln. contg. arsenic and molybdenum by an iron coprecipitation method. The residue is immersed in an aqueous soln. of sodium hydroxide having 20W 150g/l concn. at ≥40°C with stirring. Thus, molybdenum is selectively leached, and arsenic remains in the residue.
