Abstract:
To provide a method of separating olefins from sulfur-containing hydrocarbons included in the hydrocarbon feedstock.
The hydrocarbon feedstock is brought into contact with N- hydroxyethylpyrrolidone in the contact zone and at least one of the olefinic overheads is removed from the contact zone, while the sulfur-including hydrocarbons are removed at least partially from the bottom of the contact zone together with the N-hydroxyethylpyrrolidone.
