Abstract:
PURPOSE: To efficiently recover platinum(Pt) and rhodium(Rh) used as catalytically active components from a used catalyst for a car.
CONSTITUTION: The redox potential of a solution containing platinum and rhodium is adjusted to 850mV or more and platinum is extracted into a solvent phase by a solvent containing tributylphosphate as an extractant to separate rhodium into an aqueous phase with high efficiency and platinum extracted into the solvent phase is subjected to back extraction using a hydrazine chloride solution to back-extract in the aqueous phase.
