Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate the arrangement of paper sheets which have been slantwise fed in a device for performing postprocess including a step of making a hole in a sheet after the formation of an image thereon, by detecting a slantwise feed of paper sheet in accordance with outputs from two paper sensors, and by knowing what is the number of the slantwise fed sheets.
CONSTITUTION: A paper sheet processing machine 1 in which paper sheets are transferred from a copying machine in the direction of the arrow 5, and which incorporates a longitudinally folding unit 6, a right angle turning unit 7, a feather folding unit 8, a punching unit 9, a stamp unit 10 and the like, discharges sheets through a paper discharge unit 12 after completion of several postprocess steps. In this case, a slant feed of paper sheet is detected in accordance with a difference between outputs from two sheet sensors 88 which are positioned on a line orthogonal to the sheet transfer direction, downstream of the punching unit 9 in the sheet transfer direction. Further, the number of paper sheets passing by the sensors 88 is count by a passing number counter, and accordingly, what the number of slantwise fed sheets is, is known from the result of the detection and the result of the detection of the slantwise feed, and the result is displayed on a display unit.
