Abstract:
To provide a separator for an electrochemical element excellent in reflow heat resistance and a high-rate charge-discharge characteristic, and having low internal resistance.
This separator for an electrochemical element is formed of a non-woven fabric containing a fibrillated polymer having a melting point or a pyrolysis temperature above 250°C, a fiber diameter below 1 μm in at least a part thereof, and a weight-average fiber length of 0.2-2 mm, and an organic fiber having a fineness below 3.3 dtex. The separator is characterized by having a volume resistivity above 1×1011 Ωcm.
