PURPOSE: To obtain a fuel cell of excellent performance, life, and reliability by positioning a fuel gas channel and/or an oxidant gas channel so that the direction of groove line of a wave plate having a plurality of holes perpendicular to the direction of gas flow.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel gas 10 to be supplied to the side of a fuel electrode 9 generates power by a carbon ion generated by the electrochemical reaction of an oxidant gas 11 to be supplied to the side of an oxide electrode 8 in the electrode 8 and the chemical reaction in the electrode 9, and a product gas 12 of the carbon gas and water is generated at the time. By placing a plurality of holes 3 provided on a wave plate 1 on the channel of the gas 10, a turbulence is generated in the gas flow, and the gas 12 and the gas 10 are mixed together by the turbulence, and a product gas layer is eliminated thereby. As a result, a fuel gas of high concentration of mixed condition is supplied to the electrode surface, and the fuel gas is effectively utilized. The uniformity of temperature distribution is achieved for the entire layered cell, and a battery of excellent power generation characteristic can thus be obtained.
