Abstract:
To provide a separator for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell having light weight, low price, and high corrosion resistance.
The separator for the fuel cell uses an aluminum substrate in which a metal oxide layer is formed on the surface by treating the aluminum substrate with a fluoride of metal selected from a group IIa, IIb, IVa, or Va in the periodic table.
