Abstract:
To provide a separator for a lithium ion battery, a method for manufacturing the same, and the lithium ion battery using the same.
A separator for a lithium ion battery comprises a porous membrane and a modifier layer with which at least one surface of the porous membrane is coated. The modifier layer is made by mixing a source of phosphorus containing a phosphate group, a source of trivalent aluminum and metal oxide in a liquid phase solvent, coating at least one surface of the porous membrane with a mixture, and drying a coating. A method for manufacturing the separator for the lithium ion battery, and the lithium ion battery using the same, are also provided.
