Title:
SEPARATOR FOR SOLID ELECTROLYTE FUEL CELL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3533272
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator capable of retaining high performance in the whole cell for a long time by forming a protecting film containing a heat resistant metal on the surface corresponding to anode gas of a separator substrate made from a heat resistant metal and oxide base conductive ceramic.
SOLUTION: A separator substrate for a solid electrolyte fuel cell is formed with cermet comprising a heat resistant metal (a nickel base alloy or the like containing at least one of Al and Si) and oxide base conductive ceramic (a rare earth composite oxide or the like). A1-5000μm thick protecting film (indium oxide or the like) containing a heat resistant metal (alumina or the like) is formed on the surface corresponding to anode gas of the separator substrate so as not to come in contact with the anode gas. The separator capable of preventing deterioration of the surface facing an anode, exposed to reducing atmosphere with good physical property of the separator maintained is obtained, and high performance in the whole cell is retained for a long time.
