Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separatorily functional fibrous sheet high in productivity, having moderate air permeability or resistance to water permeation, thus suitably usable as a filter for air cleaning or water treatment.
SOLUTION: This separatorily functional fibrous sheet is characterized by comprising a low-melting polyethylene component and a high-melting polyethylene component higher in melting point than the former component; wherein the low-melting polyethylene component is exposed onto the surface of the sheet and at least the low-melting polyethylene component comprises separatorily functional fibers having ion exchange group and/or chelating group.
