Title:
SERIAL IMPACT PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06179271
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform sharp printing without generating unnecessary light and shade by the hammering of a printing wire in a serial impact printer having a platen provided with the projection part opposed to the printing wire.

CONSTITUTION: When printing paper P is struck by a printing wire 25b, pressure is concentrated on the small area between the printing wire 25b and a projection 21b to apply sharp printing. Since projections 21a, 21c are surrounded by spacers 23 each composed of a cushion member, no strong pressure acts on the printing paper P and the unnecessary light and shade due to the projections 21a, 21c are not generated on the lower layer of the printing paper P.
