Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an operation speed with a minimum circuit scale and to improve a characteristics by providing plural metric calculation steps.
SOLUTION: Plural metric calculation steps are provided at the time of estimating a transmission signal series that are transmitted from a transmitting side based on the characteristics of a receiving signal and a transmission line by using a list output Viterbi algorithm which decides one of plural survival paths in each state (state number 1 is included) of a Viterbi algorithm. In such a case, a receiving signal input terminal 14, a transmission line characteristics input terminal 15, a branch metric output terminal 16, a switching type branch metric producing circuit 17 and a branch metric selection signal producing circuit 18 are provided. The circuit 17 switches a branch metric production reference to a square metric and a correction metric according to a metric selection signal from the circuit 18.
