An input means designates the network address of PC/WS being the transfer destination of facsimile-received data and a directory, into which a file of facsimile-received data is written. A memory resource in PC/WS on a network is acquired, the directory and the file are generated, and facsimile- received data is transferred to the file so as to write it directly into the memory resource of a PC/WS-side (S515). When the memory resource is in a memory-full state (YES in S516) or a reception error occurs (YES in S521), the file can be deleted directly (S517). When there is no more file left in the directory on the memory resource of the PC/WS-side (NO in S518), the directly can be deleted (S519).
