Abstract:
To reduce an amount of information transmitted from a device for vehicle to a service providing device.SOLUTION: A service providing system according to an embodiment comprises a device for vehicle and a service providing device. The device for a vehicle comprises an acquisition unit, a determination unit, and a transmission unit. The acquisition unit acquires vehicle information. The determination unit determines whether or not the vehicle information should be transmitted to the service providing device based on a behavior of the vehicle. The transmission unit transmits a part of the vehicle information to the service providing device, and transmits detailed vehicle information to the service providing device when requested by the service providing device. The service providing device comprises a determining unit and a providing unit. The determining unit determines whether service information should be provided to the device for vehicle based on one part of the vehicle information. The providing unit requests detailed vehicle information from the device for vehicle when the determining unit determines that the service information should be provided, and provides service information corresponding to the detailed vehicle information to the device for vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
