A service providing server is configured in a way that a user stores contents into an information recording medium and provides the medium to the server and the service providing server connected to a network carries out service provision processing, wherein the service providing server verifies the information recording medium ID transmitted from a user device, judges the propriety of service provision on the basis of service providing state data for each information recording medium ID to provide services. The service providing server provides services only when an information processor transmitting a service request is an information processor for reading a legitimate information recording medium ID from the information recording medium and the service provision is permitted on the basis of the service providing state data.
