A servo device 1 for a model has, in a casing 2, a motor 4 rotatavely driven by a signal from a receiver, the speed reduction mechanism 6 for reducing rotational speed and transmitting the rotation of the motor 4 by combining spur gear units 8, 10, and 12 formed by integrating large and small spur gears on the same shaft, an output shaft 7 installed in parallel with a drive shaft 5 in a position not in agreement with the drive shaft 5 of the motor 4 and transferring the rotation of the motor 4 transmitted from the speed reduction mechanism 6 to a servo horn 20, and a potentiometer 27 which detects the rotating angle of the output shaft 7, wherein the servo device performs feedback control based on the rotating angle of the output shaft 7 detected by the potentiometer 27. A planet gear unit 14 equipped with a solar gear 17 and the planetary gear 18, which goes around the circumference of the solar gear 17 while turning on its axis, is coaxially arranged on the output shaft 7 in the final stage of the speed reduction mechanism 6.
