Abstract:
To provide a method for handoff using an SIP protocol.
As shown at S2, a WLAN network 14 communicates with an IP network 18, and the IP network 18 provides two-way communication between a PC 12 and a service server 22 as shown at S3. Both the user PC 12 and a UE 32 establish a connection between a network 23 and S4-S6. The user decides to trigger the handoff from the PC 12 to the UE 32 at S7 and communicates this handoff request to the WLAN network 14. The WLAN network 14 transmits an SIP message to the service server 22 through the network 18. The service server 22 transmits an SIP 200 (OK) message to acknowledge a handoff (HO) message.
