PURPOSE: To improve the operability of a presence display device by providing a means for executing continuously the setting or confirmation between each manager and a presence display lamp while a set or a confirmation command is inputted at application of power.

CONSTITUTION: A signal control circuit 45 starts a continuous setting confirmation device 451 by application of power. The device 451 detects the operation of non-operation of a confirmation button 44 and the operation of a set button 43 via a scanning circuit 47 to start the setting routine. When the user operates state display buttons 4205 and 4210 successively to input a state display button 4200 being the setting object and then a manager code C=50, the device 451 detects the operation of the state display button 4200 and then buttons 4205, 4210 successively via the scanning circuit 47. Then the setting routine storing the manager code C=50 is executed for an address a00 corresponding to the state display button 4200 in the memory 46.
