Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the minimization of the eccentric extent of the optical axis in an optical element by rotating and regulating a top and a bottom force members so as to mutually cancel the eccentric angle of the center line of the curvature on forming surfaces of the top and bottom force members to the pressing axial line and setting both the force members.
CONSTITUTION: An eccentric angle α of a center axial line 5 of the curvature on a forming surface of a top force member 1 to a pressing axial line 6 and an eccentric angle β of the center axial line 8 of the curvature on the forming surface of a bottom force member 2 are previously grasped to rotate and regulate both the force members relatively to the pressing axial line 6 in a body mold 3 so as to provide a formed lens 10 with a mutual shift in the optical axis of the minimum eccentric angle &verbar β-α&verbar in a mold for forming an optical element capable of pressing forming the optical element having rotating curved surfaces with the optical axis as the center as the upper and lower optical functional surfaces with the top and bottom force members. Thereby, both the force members are set. When the press forming is then carried out, the shift in mutual optical axis of the optical functional surface of the formed lens 10 can be minimized.
