Abstract:

PURPOSE:To prevent a grabbing chatter in a valve and a nose from occurring, by installing an elastic member interposingly in a spherical slide surface, in case of such one which supports one end of a rocket an with a spherical pivot. CONSTITUTION:An adjust screw 15 is screwed in the fulcrum side of a rocker arm 14 which depresses a valve stem as driven by a cam 4. At a lower part of the adjust screw 15, there is provided with a spherical part 16 which is fitly engaged with a concave spherical part 12 of a pivot receiving bolt 11. An annular clearance is formed in space between the circumference of a lower part 16c of an upper half part of the spherical part 16 and a dam piece 13, and an elastic member 18 is interposingly installed in this clearance. Engagement between the spherical part 16 and the concave spherical part 12 is secured so positive enough, whereby a grabbing chatter phenomenon at a high speed is prevented from occurring, thus reduction in noises is well promoted.
