Abstract:
PURPOSE: To set a VC efficiently when a data is sent via an ATM network between HIPPI interface terminal equipments with respect to the setting system for the logic channel in the ATM network to transfer an HIPPI data.
CONSTITUTION: When a terminal equipment compatible with an HIPPI sets a request signal, a call means 20 of a terminal adaptor 2 is started to set a broad band logic channel (VC) to an ATM network. When the terminal equipment resets a request signal, an interrupt means 2 of the terminal adaptor 2 is started to release the logic channel (VC) set previously to the ATM network.
