To easily check from the outside the presence and position of the part of an optical-fiber-passing sewage pipe where an optical fiber is passed by forming an optical-fiber-passing small pipe part in such a way that it projects integrally from the exterior wall surface of a sewage pipe part in a sewage pipe for passing an optical fiber.
An optical-fiber-passing sewer pipe 1 made of a hard vinyl chloride resin comprises a sewer pipe part 11 and an optical-fiber-passing small pipe part 12 formed to project integrally from the exterior wall surface of the sewer pipe part 11, with either the small pipe part 12 buried in place in a recess in the ground or both the sewer pipe part 11 and the small pipe part 12 placed on the ground in such a way as to make contact with each other. The optical-fiber-passing sewer pipe 1 is manufactured by molding the sewer pipe part 11 and the small pipe part 12 as they are clamped between a pair of outer molding rings to bring their pipe walls into close contact while the hard vinyl chloride resin extruded from an extrusion molding die keeps a deformable, high-temperature state, and then cooling them for hardening. Therefore, the presence and position of the optical-fiber-passing small pipe part 12 can easily be checked from the outside, and the optical-fiber-passing sewer pipes 1 can easily be joined together.
