Abstract:
A resistance plate (71) provided in a polishing chamber (S1) formed between a polishing roll (63) and a bran removing cylindrical body (64) imparts resistance to grain (M1) by blocking movement of the grain (M1) from which bran has been removed from the surface thereof while co-rotating in conjunction with the rotation of the polishing roll (63). A lateral side of the resistance plate (71) is provided with a rotary drive shaft (72) extending along a center line (C1) of the polishing roll (63). An operation conversion mechanism (10) advances and retracts the resistance plate (71) with respect to the polishing chamber (S1) in conjunction with a forward rotation operation and a reverse rotation operation of the rotary drive shaft (72), respectively.
