To provide a sewing frame for a sewing machine with which the stop time of an embroidery sewing machine in the exchange of finished fabrics is shortened, a processing efficiency is raised and which has a simple structure and has no fear of reducing precision between a driving mechanism and the sewing frame.
In the sewing frame 10 which has a function of spreading and retaining the finished fabric W and a function of connecting the sewing frame to the driving mechanism and is driven in the X-direction and in the Y-direction of the sewing machine by the driving mechanism, the sewing frame 10 is separably formed of a fabric holding frame 11 for sharing the function of spreading and retaining the finished fabric W and a connecting frame 12 for sharing a function of connecting the sewing frame to the driving mechanism. The fabric retaining frame 11 is positioned and detachably fixed to the connecting frame 12 in the direction of the frame side length, in the direction of the frame side width and in the vertical direction by fitting mechanisms 13 and 14.
