Abstract:
To provide a sewing machine operating a thread wiper mechanism and a needle bar release mechanism by a common actuator.
The multihead sewing machine M is provided with the needle bar release mechanism 31 shutting off the driving force to a needle bar 10, the thread wiper mechanism 32 including a thread pulling member 62 wiping the thread T extending downward through an eye 15a of a sewing needle 15 and dissolving a thread loop formed between a threading hook 83 and the eye 15a of the sewing needle 15 by pulling it by the thread pulling member 62, and a drive motor 46 as the common actuator for operating the needle bar release mechanism 31 and the thread wiper mechanism 32.
