To provide a sewing machine with which needle-punching processing is carried out while confirming a needle-punching pattern by visual observation and working efficiency is improved by continuously performing the needle-punching processing and embroidery processing without interruption.

The sewing machine is equipped with a needle-punching needle 6 which catches a part of a cloth 5a of a pad cloth 5 and draws out the part to the top of a base fabric 4 to form a needle-punching pattern 16 on the surface of the base fabric 4 when the needle is stuck from above to the base fabric 4 and the pad cloth 5 that is piled under the base fabric 4 and is pulled out upward and with an embroidery needle 7 through which a needle thread 8 is passed and which is stuck from above to the base fabric 4 and the pad cloth 5 to form an embroidery pattern 53 on the surface of the base fabric 4 by the cooperation of a bobbin thread 52 of a shuttle 51 below the base fabric 4 and the pad cloth 5 and the needle thread 8.
