An embroidery frame 4 to be attached/detached to/from a device main body 2 is arranged, the frame 4 is relatively moved concerning a needle 81 and embroidery is performed on the cloth 4 which is attached to the frame 4 in the sewing device. The safety cover 3 is disposed to cover the movement area of the embroidery frame 4, constituted to be horizontally moved by sliding with respect to the device main body 2 and constituted to be movable over a sewing position for covering the movement area of the embroidery frame 4 in the case of sewing and a storage position which is recovered from the sewing position.
