PURPOSE: To embroider a large-sized image by dividing and reading the large- sized image and inputting it to a storage part installed in a sewing machine, and also, sliding an embroidery frame and dividing an embroidery range into the pre-process and the post-process, and moreover, coupling the embroideries in all the processes.
CONSTITUTION: A large-sized image is divided into plural images and copied to read sheets 13, 14 of size which can be read by an image reader, a large-sized image key is switched on, and plural image sheets are read continuously by one piece each by a scanner. Image data is converted to control data for embroidery and stored in a storage member 11 inserted into a main body. This storage member 11 is drawn out of the main body and inserted into a card installing part of a sewing machine, and when the sewing machine is operated, embroidery of the divided image inputted first is started from a start point P, it is embroidered to a sewing end point O and the sewing machine stops temporarily. Subsequently, an embroidery frame 37 is moved to a restart point S2 and fixed to a carriage fitting part, and when the operation of the sewing machine is restarted, a second image 14 is embroidered.
