Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically cut off a thread so that an unnecessary end section needle thread generated when pattern sewing is started does not appear on the upper side (surface side) of a worked cloth.
CONSTITUTION: When sewing is started, zigzag auxiliary seams are formed by a needle thread end section NSa on a worked cloth, a thread cutting action is performed while the needle thread end section NSa is surely pressed by a feed dog 17 and a pressing foot 15, the new needle thread end section NSa generated by this thread cutting appears on the lower side (rear side) of the worked cloth, and sewing quality can be improved.
