Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a universal sewing machine in order to perform simplification concerning reduction in expenditure and reliability improvement in an operation.
SOLUTION: The sewing machine, especially, a buttonhole sewing machine is provided with needle thread holding scissors (43) having a lower half body (50) with a cutting edge at the end. The needle thread holding scissors also includes an upper half body (54) which has a cutting edge at the end and is attached to the lower half body (50) so as to be rotatable The needle thread holding scissors also includes a clamp jaw (64) to be elastically pressurized against the end part of the upper half body (54) so that the tailpiece of a needle thread (75) is kept to be fastened. The scissors (43) are rotatable between a work position and a side position by a rotation driving part (22). A closure driving part (23) solely rotates the upper half body (54) from an open position to a closed position.
