PURPOSE: To enable a straight workpiece to be sewed on a curved workpiece automatically, by feeding the straight sewing potion of a workpiece to the sewing portion of a bodice by a feeding mechanism and a holding mechanism when the workpieces are sewed in wave shape by a fixed plate and a movable plate.

CONSTITUTION: A movable plate provided with guide rolls on its back holds a workpiece b1 having a curved sewing portion on the top surface of the movable plate. A fixed plate 1 is fixed on a sewing machine table and guide grooves, to which the guide rolls of the movable plate 2 are fitted free to slide along them, are furnished on its top surface. A feed mechanism is located above the movable plate 2, and supplies a workpiece b2 having a straight sewing portion toward a presser 4. A holding mechanism 6 starts the sewed portion of the workpiece b2. That is, the workpiece b2 is raised by the holding mechanism while it is supplied toward the presser 4 by the feeding mechanism 5, so that the straight sewing portion of the workpiece b2 is sewed on the curved sewing portion of the workpiece b1.
