Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively inhibit a hitch stitch.SOLUTION: A sewing machine 100 includes: a needle bar rotational mechanism 30 for rotating a needle bar 12; a movement mechanism 80 for optionally moving an object to be sewn; a control section 90 for controlling the movement mechanism according to sewing data; and a middle presser vertical movement mechanism 120 including a height adjustment motor 131 which vertically moves a middle presser, and which changes and adjusts the height of the bottom dead point thereof. When the movement direction of the object to be sewn set in the sewing data is within a preset angle range causing a hitch stitch, the control section performs control so that the needle bar rotational mechanism causes the needle bar to perform a reciprocating rotational motion including a motion in a forward path and a motion in a return path. The control section controls the height adjustment motor 131 so that the height of the bottom dead point of the middle presser becomes a preset set value. In addition, the control section calculates the drive start timing of the needle bar rotational mechanism from the set value of the height of the bottom dead point of the middle presser and controls the needle bar rotational mechanism so that the rotation of the needle bar in the forward path ends before the tip of a sewing needle 11 reaches a fabric.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 21
