PURPOSE: To provide the sewing machine which can confirm easily a position of a sewing stop point based on sewing data, after the sewing data for stopping automatically the vertical reciprocating motion of a needle is subjected to key-in input after sewing is started, and also, can correct easily its sewing data.
CONSTITUTION: By turning on a storage key 72, the sewing machine is set to a data storage mode, and by turning on a sewing margin setting key 79 and turning on a sewing margin addition key 80 and a sewing margin subtraction key 81, a sewing margin of arbitrary length is stored in a sewing margin data area 109 of a RAM 95. In such a state, when a foot pedal is stepped forward, the sewing machine is driven. In this case, when the rear end of working cloth is detected by a cloth end detecting means, sewing is stopped in a stored set sewing margin. When it is desired to correct the sewing stop position, the sewing margin is corrected by turning on suitably the sewing margin addition key 80 and the sewing margin subtraction key 81, turning on a correction key 82 and operating the sewing machine by a correcting portion. Thereafter, by turning on a reproducing key 74 and setting the sewing machine to a reproducing mode, reproducing sewing is executed.
