Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a sewing needle by which a sewing thread is extremely simply secured and which is made more convenient.
CONSTITUTION: The needle has a recess part 63 the width of which is the same as that of a sewing thread 4 and, at least, into one end of which a knot 41 formed at the base end of the sewing thread 4 is inserted, and a securing part 5 for the sewing thread 4, consisting of a groove 6 formed on a sewing needle main body 2, is formed at the base end of the needle. A surface parallel to the groove 6 at the securing part 5 formed on the sewing needle main body 2 or a surface perpendicular thereto is made flat.
