To provide a shackle for enhancing carrying efficiency of an object to be carried as compared with a conventional shackle.
In a chain conveyor constituted by connecting a carrying instrument to a link chain, the shackle is used for connecting the link chain and the carrying instrument. The shackle is provided with two leg parts 3 mutually facing in parallel, and an annular part 2 for connecting the two leg parts 3 by being suspended in relation to the leg parts 3 from the length direction rear end parts of the leg parts 3 and being formed into a substantially elliptical annular shape as a whole. In the two leg parts 3, first through holes 31 for bolt insertion are formed just under the annular part 2 from the viewpoint of a side surface of the shackle by making axial centers coincide with each other by the facing leg parts 3 with each other, and second through holes 32 for bolt insertion are formed on the length direction front sides of the leg parts 3 by making axial centers coincide with each other by the facing leg parts 3 with each other.
