To reduce a risk that a shaft system of a rotary machine becomes unstable.SOLUTION: A shaft center position control device of a rotary machine slidably supporting a rotary shaft by a bearing pad through a lubricant, includes: a shaft center position estimating portion that estimates a shaft center position of the rotary shaft on the basis of the state amount of the rotary shaft inputted from a sensor, and suppresses the output of an estimated position when the difference between an estimated shaft center position and a shaft center position obtained from a measurement value of a thermo couple measuring the temperature of a bearing metal is a predetermined value or more; and an oiling temperature setting portion that sets an oiling temperature so that the oiling temperature becomes higher as the shaft center position goes up, on the basis of the shaft center position estimated by the shaft center position estimating portion, outputs the oiling temperature set at a temperature adjusting portion capable of adjusting the temperature of the lubricant, and sets the oiling temperature so that the shaft center position is included in a stable area set as an area where a shaft system is stabilized, when it is determined that the shaft center position is included in an unstable area set as an area where the shaft system becomes unstable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
