Abstract:

To provide a shaft drive for a loom with easily exchanging cam and disk.

The shaft drive for a loom 3 comprises a shaft gear 8. The shaft gear 8 is supported by two bearings 12, 13, in between a package 28 is held without twist. A part 18 of the shaft gear 8 is connected to the rest part 19 of the shaft gear 8 through a clutch 19. The clutch 19, for example is constituted as a friction clutch with a cone part 39 and cutout part 40, and locked by a locking means 41. The cam supporting part 18 is detached from the shaft drive 3 by releasing the connecting part for disassembling and exchanging the package 28. The driving part 17, on the other hand, remains in the shaft drive 3 without change. The package 28, as a result can be replaced as a whole without disassembling the gear drive system driving the shaft gear 8.
