To provide a fitting and fixing member interposed between a shaft and a head, improving the bonding strength of the shaft and the head in a golf club, and allowing even an armature to simply and easily replace the head and the shaft.
The shaft fitting member (30) includes: a metal-made fitting member body (31) to which the shaft (10) is inserted; a cylindrical projecting part (33) disposed in the central part of the insertion hole to project upward and inserted in the hollow part of the shaft (10); and a cap part (34) closely surrounding a fitting part between the upper end face of the fitting member bod (31) and the shaft (10). The fitting member body (31) includes a closed-end cylindrical part (31a) and a flange part (31b). The cylindrical projecting part (33) projects from the center of the base of the closed-end cylindrical part (31a) and has a diameter to be bonded to the inner surface of the shaft (10). The bottom (31d) of the closed-end cylindrical part (31a) is provided with a tapped hole (31c).
