PURPOSE: To provide a titled joint which has a roll shifting function with a simple construction and permits easy maintenance and inspection by constituting so that an inside cylindrical member is inserted and connected movably forward and backward in an outside cylindrical member to form an expanding and contacting body and pressing force is acted at all times on the expanding and contacting body by means of an elastic body.

CONSTITUTION: An inside cylinder 18 connected with an intermediate shaft 19 is inserted and connected to the inside of an outside cylinder 16 connecting to a driving machine (not shown in a figure) in a joint for power transmission which transmits driving power to the roll of a rolling mill in follow up to the axial shifting of the roll. ON the other hand, an inside cylinder 20 is inserted and connected to the inside of an outside cylinder 22 connecting to the roll (not shown in the figure) of the rolling mill and an inside cylinder 20 is inserted movably forward and backward into the inside of said intermediate shaft 19 and is coupled with a gear connecting part 21, thereby constituting a power transmission part. A rod 24 for energizing the cylinder 20 to the cylinder 22 side by an elastic mechanism constituted of guides 25AWD and spring 26AWC is penetrated in said inside cylinder and the roll shift is absorbed by the rod 24 provided with the elastic function via a plate 29 and a button 30 provided at the top end of the cylinder 22.
