Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft member for a fluid bearing device capable of improving bearing performance.SOLUTION: A shaft member for a fluid bearing device includes: two bearing surfaces 31, 32 separated in an axial direction on its outer peripheral surface; and an intermediate relief part 33 formed between the bearing surfaces 31, 32, and having a smaller diameter than the bearing surfaces. In the intermediate relief part 33, provided are a cylindrical surface part 331 comprising a ground surface, and a step part 332 arranged on both sides in an axial direction of the cylindrical surface part and having diameter difference between itself and the cylindrical surface part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
